Sculpture Installation & Handling Guide
Personnel Requirements
One (1) qualified art handling technician is required for installation.
The installer should have experience handling fine art and be familiar with standard museum or gallery installation practices.
Materials & Tools Required
Clean nitrile gloves (required when handling the sculpture)
Protective foam padding for staging and temporary support during unpacking and installation
Handling Instructions
Always wear clean nitrile gloves when handling the sculpture.
Never lift, pull, or support the sculpture by an individual envelope or protruding element. These components are not designed to bear the sculpture's weight and may be damaged.
Always lift and support the sculpture from its base. Ensure the base is fully supported throughout transport and installation.
Keep the sculpture upright while moving whenever possible.
Place protective foam beneath the base if the sculpture must be temporarily set down during installation.
Installation Instructions
Confirm that the pedestal is level and stable.
The recommended pedestal dimensions are 38 in (H) × 34 in (W) × 20 in (D).
Carefully lift the sculpture by its base and position it over the center of the pedestal.
Do not slide the sculpture across the pedestal surface during final placement. Lower it directly into its final position to avoid scratching either the sculpture or the pedestal.
Once placed, verify that the sculpture is centered on the pedestal and visually aligned from all viewing angles.
Final Check
Confirm the sculpture is stable and securely positioned.
Inspect the sculpture for any signs of movement or damage before leaving the installation complete.
